Permit & Installation process

Due to the installation of PV equipment involving professional electrical issues such as installation policies, grid connected energy storage, and electricity safety, in order to effectively ensure that users can use our product equipment safely and efficiently, our company will follow the following service process to solve the installation of equipment for users.

Step1: Promote local installation policies
Bonck America has rich experience in electrical policy consulting and services. By reviewing the PV installation policies of 50 states in the United States, Bonck is able to query installation policies that meet regional requirements for customers and provide promotional work for users. Users only need to fill in basic form information such as address on our service website to quickly retrieve the installation policies and service conditions of their state or region. Different states face different installation conditions. For example:

(1) If you are a user from North Carolina, for a specific amount or under special circumstances, you need to meet the following conditions:

Obtaining a building permit;
Obtaining an electrical contractor license;
According to the guidance document of the North Carolina Department of Insurance, each inspection department shall issue a license in accordance with the provisions of this document and conduct the following two types of inspections on the project. Preliminary inspection (option 1):
The provisions of this document are not optional;
Provide electrical design sketches that comply with NEC standards;
Provide structural installation design sketches.

When the following situations exist, professional engineers need to conduct structural design inspections (option 2):

The weight of the SPVP system exceeds 3 pounds per square foot;
The roof has more than one layer of asphalt tiles;
The roof material is not asphalt tiles;
The roof is located in a wind zone with a speed of 140 miles per hour or above;
At the same time, preliminary inspection is required (option 1).

(2) If you are a user from Massachusetts, according to state common law regulations, the recommended practices for installing electricians, solar PV installers, and wire inspectors are as follows:

Establish open communication with local wire inspectors;

According to common law, installation personnel have five days to obtain a permit after starting work. After the installer notifies the wire inspector that the work is completed, the wire inspector should give written notice of agreement or disagreement within 5 days; It is recommended to contact the local wiring inspector before starting work. Complete a plan review before starting work;
Please refer to Guidance Memorandum 13-01 for Massachusetts's requirements related to electrical licensing and PV installation in the (PV) Licensing Guidance System;
Contact the local fire department to let them know that PV systems have been installed within their jurisdiction;

In addition to applying for a license, it also includes but is not limited to:

Apply for a unified single line electrical diagram to apply for a power work permit;
Front line site plan;
The solar PV module specification sheet provided by the manufacturer;
The inverter specification table provided by the manufacturer.

(3) If you are a user from Isaqua, Washington, the process of obtaining installation permits for household PV equipment has been simplified. In addition to necessary electrical permits, a building permit is not even required for standardized residential properties. The specific situation is subject to actual regulations. Users in Rhode Island can download the "State wide Solar License Application" and follow the prescribed procedures.

(4) For regions such as New York, California, and Indiana, the policy for obtaining installation licenses is quite complex and may require our company to act as an agent or select professional organizations to assist with the process.
Specifically, for commercial PV equipment, the licensing requirements are relatively strict, requiring users to have offline communication with our staff to determine cooperation plans.

Step 2: Apply for equipment installation license

According to the difficulty level of local installation policies, users can apply for installation licenses themselves or through our company's agent to the local competent department office. After obtaining the license, the processing period and subsidy policies will be determined.

Step 3: Purchase mature brand products

After obtaining official permission, we will proceed with product procurement and provide delivery services based on our company's design plan and solution package. Users can purchase from our mall according to their own needs. The products provided by Boko all come from top brands in the PV industry such as Longi, Sun, Huawei, etc. These products are complete sets of PV equipment

Step 4: Select a suitable installation plan

We offer two installation options to choose from: One is that the installer provides professional services. Our company has developed a group of certified installers who can provide customers with comprehensive services
Installation services. During this process, we can recommend high-quality installers to users and provide reasonable price plans to assist them in the later acceptance work, with installation costs borne by users.

The second is to coordinate with our installation team. In principle, our company does not provide installation services. In some regions or under specific conditions, our company has signed a group of installation personnel with relevant installation qualifications to provide services to users. Users can also choose this method to carry out subsequent installation work. Consumers also need to pay the corresponding installation fees.

Step 5: Provide thoughtful after-sales service.

After the installation of PV equipment, in order to ensure the safe and effective operation of the equipment, our company also provides product testing services. Our company has established close cooperation with equipment testing agencies in the United States. Just contact us and pay a certain (approximately $1000-2000) testing fee to send professional personnel to conduct after-sales testing on your equipment and issue a testing report, so that you can use our products with peace of mind and comfort.
